About Viscose Georgette Fabric Viscose Georgette is a beautifully lightweight, soft, and fluid fabric known for its elegant sheer texture and natural flow. Cellulose Extraction: The process begins with natural wood pulp or cotton linters, which provide the cellulose base for viscose. 2. Viscose Solution Creation: The cellulose is treated with caustic soda and carbon disulfide, forming a viscous, golden liquid known as viscose. 3. Fiber Formation: This viscose solution is spun through fine spinnerets into an acid bath, solidifying into smooth viscose filaments. 4. Georgette Weaving: The viscose filaments are highly twisted and woven using the Georgette weave, creating the fabric’s lightly crinkled, airy texture. 5. Dyeing & Finishing: The fabric is then dyed in rich hues and finished for softness, sheen, and durability, making it perfect for embroidery and fine detailing.
